FAQ

1. What is powdercoating?
Powdercoating is a durable, chemical resistant, long lasting coating for any metal surface. The power is electrically bonded to the material then melted on to ensure a uniform coating unlike paint. It is resistant to most chemicals, resists fading, and is less prone to scratches.

2. What can be powdercoated?
Any metal part that does not include anything that will melt at 400 degrees. Anything that will melt will need to be removed before sending them to us for coating.

3. How big of an item can you coat?
Our largest oven has inside dimensions of 40.5"x44"x66". Anything inside those dimensions we will be able to coat.

4. What shipping method is used?
For smaller items we ship everything USPS, however larger items are shipped via UPS. This helps us keep shipping costs down and at the same time ensure timely delivery. If you perfer a different shipping method let us know and we will ship it that way. As far as shipping parts to us that is the customer's preference.

5. Are discounts offered for multiple parts?
Yes. If you need multiple parts coated give us a list and we will come up with an overall quote for everything.

6. How long will it take to get my parts back?
It depends on the size of the job however most can be completed and shipped back to you within a week. When giving a quote we will also provide a timeline for the job.

7. What is the best payment method?
We accept all major credit cards, paypal, and money orders. We will take whatever you prefer.

8. How is the item prepped?
The item is cleaned, media blasted (typically with glass beads), then wiped down and coated. Some items require additional prepping. Check our process page for more details.

9. What is the best way to clean a powder coated part?
Powdercoat can be cleaned like any painted surface. A mild soap and water combination should clean most debris off your part.

10. How much experience do you have?
We have been powdercoating items since 2004. We strive to only send out the best quality parts. If it does not meet our standards the part is stripped and recoated until it turns out perfect.
